Baker Upright #1656

This design features a 'sled' mounted on a fin protruding from the plate. By turning the supplied key the tuner slides the sled and anchored string along the fin and controls the tension. The action is also unusual and is almost an upright version of the Hickman action of the early 1930s seen in some Knabe and Mason & Hamlin grand pianos.
