Many unknown pianos are out there. This one must have had a name over the keys originally but the name was lost to refinishing. The faux grain, looking like rosewood was not lost however. Many artists were expert at mimicking rosewood with the use of India ink and a turkey feather.
This piano is straight strung, The key cover goes over the arms rather than between. There are only 77 keys as opposed to the usual 85 or 88. Very nice original ivory still intact. Strauch Bros. was a less well known action builder than Wessel, Nickel & Gross
