Barrel Piano

A barrel piano operates in a way very similar to the little music boxes you'd find in a knick knack, with the little drum that rotates plucking the notes. But in the barrel piano the drum is very large. The prongs that protrude from the drum activate piano hammers which strike the strings. The layout is so precise that there can be multiple songs on one drum. The chosen piece is selected by slight side movement of the drum. Each piece runs parallel to the others. The drum is rotated by means of the crank at the front of the piano.
